How to Write a Good Headline

In newspapers, as well as in articles that dominates magazines online and offline, a headline is very important. Why is it important? Because a headline is a major factor for people to read the rest of the information presented. In a promotional letter, ninety percent of its success depends on a good headline. The question is, how can a person write a good headline? The answer is, by touching the emotions of the readers. Creating a headline that elicit an emotional response, is the way it should be written. Generally speaking, if a person has the capacity to purchase something, then that person is prone to buy what he wants than what he needs. Now, how can that “want” inside the reader be increased? The answer is, by projecting an irresistible image and feeling in his mind. The purpose of this, is not only for the reader to read, but to feel it. Another point that may complement in making a good headline is, to personalize the headline. That means, the word “you” must be there. Readers will be more receptive if the headline appears to be talking to them. Lastly, in writing a headline, consider this particular question that most readers often asked, “what’s in it for me?” , the answer to it would help anyone a lot in making a good headline.

The Generous Filipinos

Filipinos are known for its survival skill. They can adjust to almost any obstacle that life may place in front of them. Most of them are kind and generous; in fact, It is easy for them to hand thirty to fifty pesos to a person in dire need. Sad to say, that liberality in giving could not last long in few cases. A typical Filipino is a champion in helping others ; even if he only have enough for himself or a little extra, sparing a small amount to those in need is no problem at all. That is the original Filipino mentality, and many are still embracing it up to now. However, for a few who have the opportunity of leaving the Philippines, and are fortunate enough in creating a good life abroad, a new mentality sets in. They have developed an attitude of thriftiness. They are getting a lot more in a foreign country, but their generosity diminished. It is now hard for them, even just a dollar, to share to the needy. Majority of the Filipinos are still the generous, but a few have changed drastically.

This is an Opportunity

While sitting somewhere in a public waiting shed, I overheard two individuals in a conversation. They were talking about opportunities. One commented by saying "some have time and skill but no opportunity; while some have an opportunity but skill and time to use for it." It is indeed true. Anyway, I have here an opportunity for you, and it requires no fix time, you can choose when and how long will you use time. The skill required is minimal, as long as you can type, you can do it. See it for yourself, examine the opportunities displayed on this site slowly and carefully.
